The Panthers from Homerville would find themselves in a deep hole as the very deep Rebels, whose regular rotation is still being identified but goes atleast 10 deep, would use that depth and quickness to jump out to an early 29-9 lead after one quarter. A 46-25 lead at the half allowed head coach Dr. Tyrone Kellogg a chance to empty his bench in the second half. Almost every Rebel player got on the scoreboard en route to a stress free 90-37 victory.

The Rebels hit seven three pointers on the night and four Rebels scored in double figures in a very balanced attack. Tamarrion Terry led the way with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures were Shaquille Baldwin with 12 points, Quan Hillmon with 11 points, and Jarvis Hall also with 11 points.

With the victory, the Rebels improve to 3-0 overall, which includes an early 2-0 record in Region 2-A play. On Friday, the Rebels welcome region rival Wilcox County to Ashburn. The Rebels and the Patriots have had quite the rivalry. The Patriots had somewhat of a down year last year but they are 2-0 in the early portion of the season this year.

Tip off is set for approximately 7:30.
