Fitzgerald Continues their Run

Fitzgerald Ga.- The #4 Ranked Canes hosted the # 10 Bulldogs from Macon County. In last years contest it would go down to the wire. This year the Canes scored a quick 7  and then held the bulldogs on their next offensive series. On the ensuing  Punt, Antonio Perry would take it to the house for a 14-0 lead.

QB James Graham took the brunt of the load tonight with a slightly injured J.D King on the mend. Graham would call his number often tonight keeping the Bulldogs off guard Scoring 2 TD’s. Graham would amount 258 total rushing yard tonight.

J.D. King would still get 166 yards tonight King would cross the goal line 4 times on the night.

Both Graham and King were unstoppable all night. The Canes would only punt once all night. Another note the Fitzgerald kicking game has became one to watch. Kicker Raul Martinez continues his stellar kicking game.

8 kick offs tonight and 7 had no returns due to them going into the end zone. The Fitzgerald defense played hard all night.

Give Macon County credit, they owned the slant pass all night. They threw at will and when their receivers caught the ball they were fast. Although the Canes gave up 32 points they did manage 5 turnovers in their defensive effort.

Montrell Harris would take a 85 kick off to the end zone in the second half as a cap to the evening. The Canes improve 4-0 on the season with Region play starting next week at home hosting the Early County.

Final Score- Fitzgerald 57 Macon County 32.
