Hurricanes Blow through Early 30-0

Fitzgerald, GA- The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes faced off against the Early County Bobcats Friday night in a one sided battle. The Hurricanes entered at 5-0, and the Bobcats entered at .500 (2-2-1). After a gale blew through, Early County would leave with a 30-0 loss.

Fitzgerald blew through the first quarter racking up 20 points against the Bobcats. Sophomore dual-threat quarterback James Graham found Montrell Harris for a 20-yard TD.Early County drove to the Cane 40-yard line, but Quay Harper intercepts and makes a fifty yard scamper for the pick-six.
The second quarter was a battle between the teams to possess the ball.  The teams settled in to a possession war for the remainder of the contest, with Fitzgerald adding a FG by Raul Martinez in the third frame to go up 23-0.
Fitzgerald would see more talent at the running back position, this time Jalin Shavers broke free for a 55-yard run to grab six more for the Canes. Fitzgerald won 30-0.
Fitzgerald improves to 6-0, and will face a Thomasville Bulldog team that got their first win on the season Friday night, defeating Seminole County 20-7. Game time at the Dog Pound in Thomasville is 7:30PM.
